Informed? Uninformed? Misinformed?

Whether I read every news article or not
doesn’t change what’s happening in the world
but it changes what is happening in me
and I understand that Scripture
more than ever before
‘Above ALL things
guard and keep your heart with diligence and all vigilance
and above all that you guard,
for from it flows the well-springs of life'…

I have a responsibility to myself
to banish fear so I not only function
and survive but thrive
in tough times.

I’m very aware
of what’s happening all around me…
I’m not an ostrich in the sand
but
I am
hidden in the strong tower of truth
I AM
has provided for my protection
not just at this time
but throughout my lifetime.

The name of the LORD is a strong tower;
The righteous runs to it and is safe and set on high [far above evil].

Proverbs 4v23

Keep vigilant watch over your heart;
that’s where life starts.
Don’t talk out of both sides of your mouth;
avoid careless banter, white lies, and gossip.
Keep your eyes straight ahead;
ignore all sideshow distractions.
Watch your step,
and the road will stretch out smooth before you.
Look neither right nor left;
leave evil in the dust.

I put my thoughts into a poem regarding this worldwide pandemic we're in middle of right now...

I realised the responsibility of protecting my mind, heart and emotions lies with me and no-one else. None of us know how long lock-down will last. It could be a sprint as such or it could be a marathon and I have to make sure I keep myself in a good place if this time lasts longer than what I would like it to.
