Constant Companion
Staggering and stumbling through circumstances,
we need to remember
that even when we’re between a rock and a hard place
or have hit rock bottom,
Jesus remains our Rock
solid, steady and strong.
-immovable.
We can lean against His love…
Depend on His everlasting arms to hold us up with hope…
Trust Him with our todays and tomorrows
when we stand on the firm foundation of His faithfulness
of all our yesterdays….
When we sit on His shoulders, we can see further into the future
and even when walking through the seemingly endless valley
our steps are most certainly certain,
as we are cushioned in the palm of His Hand
-established in the eternal,
we’re not turned by temporary temptations or deliberate distractions.
Our faces focused like flint!
We are faith-filled by our Father’s faithfulness
Who sent His Son, Who sent His Holy Spirit,
so we would never have to walk alone in this world.
He is
our Companion – our Champion.

Psalm 18 vs 2
“You’re as real to me as bedrock beneath my feet,
like a castle on a cliff, my forever firm fortress,
my mountain of hiding, my pathway of escape,
my tower of rescue where none can reach me.
My secret strength and shield around me,
you are salvation’s ray of brightness shining on the hillside,[a]
always the champion of my cause.”
Footnotes:
Psalm 18:2 The Hebrew word for “horn” (i.e., horn of my salvation) comes from a root word meaning “ray of brightness” or “hillside.” This translation has chosen to include both concepts in the translation.
