Unwavering Word
My God
My Good Shepherd
I trust You to guide and guard me
all the days of my long life…
Your Word is
-a flickering lamp at times
whispering where next I should put my foot on a dark pathway
as darkness dissolves when I step into the unknown
-a large light shining brightly
so I can see where I’m walking
-a flashlight flashing a light beam!
-a beaming lighthouse
warning me where not to go…
Just like that
a flare lights up the darkness in my mind
as You reveal revelation
when I walk through Your Word
stepping silently on the words
somehow [and I don’t have to exactly know how]
they release a roar that reverberates
radiating the truth of a matter
and that is all that matters to me
because I can see what I couldn’t see before
and my confidence grows
in the Only One Who knows the way
on the unknown path
ushering in the sun leaving darkness in its wake
as it clears the clutter that developed in the darkness
and I can be assured that my Good Shepherd
will protect and provide all the provision I need
on the pathway of peace.
