The Real Reality

There are pauses on the journey of life
when everything is effortless and easy
but one has to hold onto your smile
when the road gets rough!

The reality of life is that God says
that we will face challenges
but to take heart
because He is with us.
He says ‘do not fear,
because I am near’
He tells us not to worry
because He knows the futility
of stress even when life looks like a mess
- I need to train myself to rest when restlessness
attempts to eat away at my inner peace
and tries to devour my dreams.

To remember that I am cushioned
in the palm of His Hand
and that His dreams for me
will become a reality when I rest in Him,
listen to His promptings
and follow in His footsteps…

As I bring a smile to His face,
my smile will stay in place.
