Protected

Standing in the Shadow of my Saviour
as He bandages my battered heart
and listens to my weary whispers…
emotional exhaustion has made me numb
emptying my emotional energy
but as His Hand gently touches my heart
I get my breath back again
and a determination to stand strong in the storm
as I ‘see’ Him reshuffling securities we thought were set in stone
and reshaping the landscape of our lives...

These critical circumstances completely out of my control
and as the heat hits my heart
again and again
I seek shade under His shadow
- hide in the cleft of the rock
until the time comes where the severe storm subsides
and it’s safe to surface as such.
