Supernatural Sufficiency and Strength for all four Seasons

Living life
it took time for me to discover that
self-sufficiency is not enough to sustain myself
and that we are meant to be more dependent on others
than we realise
but above all
dependent
on the One who created all of us
to function as His Body…

His strength is sufficient
when we’re weak…
He not only strengthens us by His own Hand
but surrounds us with strength
from others as they hold up our hands
much like Moses’ hands were held up
by two trustworthy men
so that the battle that was being fought could be won…
In fact, those two trusted men were equally as important
as those fighting on the field.

God designed it this way
that we stand strong
together
each engaging in what our Commander in Chief
calls us to do
in battles against the enemy
-whether it be holding up hands or hearts
on our knees
or facing a giant on the battle field
with a stone selected from the stream
securely in our sling
as we walk towards him
confident
and as we step into God’s strength
we realise that
He is more than sufficient in our struggles
as He sends some to stand with us
when we are too weak to walk on our own
and if we are still too tired and weary of walking
He carries us
Undergirding us with His ever loving
ever-lasting arms…
as our all-sufficient Heavenly Father fights for us.
