Re-looking at the Final Proverb

So often Proverbs 31
hangs over our heads as women as being unreachable
as we aspire to achieve what this woman appears to accomplish
with ease
and the frustrations we feel
as our attempts are always thwarted
because we can't get it together
to be like her
until we discover that
God created each and every one of us women
unique
calling us to do different things for His deliberately designed
plans and purposes for our individual lives
and the Proverbs 31 woman was never intended
to be a woman that created a checklist for other women
and we are not obliged to copy what she does
as we work towards having a godly character.

Besides
the reality is that Proverbs 31 was never written
for an audience of women
but as a mother speaking to her son
and also a poetic piece
precisely pointing to what
the Book of Proverbs points to
when it speaks about wisdom in the female form as 'her' or 'she'
personifying wisdom as being a woman
because our influence as women is needed
in the lives of our family and friends
and those who we touch.

Part of our purpose is to bring wisdom into the earth
from a perspective that a man is unable to bring
because men and women
were created for different roles and responsibilities;
not to compete but to complete
and digging deep into the history of this hymn,
we discover in Jewish culture
that it was men who memorized and sang this as a song
over the women in their lives
with the intent of celebrating and speaking life over the wife
given to a husband
as a gift
and that he take great pride in her
for who she is
as well as being honoured to be the man to do this.

How life-breathing would that be?

The Book of Proverbs culminates with words of wisdom
crowning all women
as we as women speak a blessing from one woman aloud to another
with these spoken words
saying ‘carry on warrior’
in celebration of our female family and friends,
blessing them and speaking prophetically into the lives of women
to give hope, vision and a promise of their inheritance
as it relates to their covenant relationship with Father God.

We as woman can become personal cheerleaders in other women’s lives
as we cheer one another on
whether it be birthing a baby or birthing a business
or any other accomplishment
and understanding our role as women is powerful
for each of us to reach an altitude
which we thought unreachable before
as we encourage each other
and stand in our accumulation of strength
holding our heads high.

A blessing in Biblical times was a public prophetic proclamation of the favoured status of a person for their life and future success and prosperity and their birthright and inheritance as it relates to their covenant relationship with God endowing that person to prosper and have success.

What you name your child is a prophetic declaration because you are speaking the meaning of their name over and over again throughout their lives prophetically prophesying..

virtuous is the feminine form for the word valor
which means strength uprightness and integrity
-silk wrapped around steel’s strength
