My daughter said we need to value time
because we are but a bit of breath…
-life is short
and what we spend our time on
adds up.

The reality of what she said
reminds me every day
to treat each day as a precious gift
because none of us know
when we will breathe our last breath
and then what we spent our time on
will be evident.
