Relinquished

My tears have fallen at the feet of Jesus
too many times to count
or recall…
My prayers, pleas and pledges
My prophetic proclamations
in public
and in private
have pounded Heaven’s door
as I have clung to His promises to me personally
and the promises on the pages of the Word.

I've prayed for peace
more than anything I else
besides wisdom which we all need to walk in this world
and remembered to thank God
when His Presence brought the peace
I desperately needed
but a time comes
when surrender comes
and I surrender
into His safe
strong arms
totally trusting and yielding to Jesus
as I lay down my life
like He did
realising that as I release my hold
completely yielded
I am shielded
in my surrendering.
