Stop at the Pitstops
empty of energy
emotionally exhausted
floods of tears fall down my face
bringing release to the sorrow I stored inside of me for way too long….
Sadness overtakes my heart
spitting dust at my soul
as it races past in a sprint
blurring the sight in my spirit!
Coughing in the confusion,
I decide to pull-over and pause
at a pit-stop of peace
for recharging, refreshing and renewal
as I realise that
I will run myself ragged in the race
if I don’t take time-out of troubles
and stop worshipping worries.
The ‘feel’ of feeling free from earthly cares
when I focus heavenward
and am not distracted by dust
washes the dirt from my wounded world.
