The ‘Enoughness’ of Jesus

The first act of faith is resting in the ‘enoughness’ of Jesus
-Jesus ALONE carried my cross to Calvary
and we should never add rules, regulations and rituals
which cheapen the sacrifice of our Saviour
and the second most important aspect of being a Christian
is that it is crucial that we live with Holy Spirit’s help;
-eat of His Fruit
so that we can bear good fruit.
We can ask Him to help us to grow good fruit
because Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives:
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control…
and the fruit in our lives reflects our relationship with Him
as He rubs off on us…
I have often heard that who we hang out with
we become like.
As we let Holy Spirit lead and guide us,
we will find more and more that we do not gel with conduct
that is opposite to these fruits
even when bad behaviour is ‘rebadged’ to be more politically correct
we come to the conclusion that we cannot excuse
this way of living in our own lives…

The shift comes when we
move out from a transactional way of thinking to relational way;
relating to God’s grace.

We can truly respond to Jesus out of love because of His great love for us
trusting Him with our entire life
when we come to realise that
nothing else hinges on the fullness of His ‘enoughness’
and as we allow Jesus’ Voice to shape our hearts
to be more in love with Him and more in love with one another
we can do good to everyone and
truly love our neighbour and our neighbourhood as we love ourselves
and
live loved
because
love lived
is the best way to live.
