Christ is our Certainty in Circumstances

In the shifting sands on the surface of this old earth
at times,
we may find that our incomes are impacted
and we’re living lives of lack because of lock-down
or other reasons
as seasons
and circumstances change
but we need to remember as we stand on a strip of tape
keeping us away from one another
-not seeing smiles because of masks masking more than mouths
that there is One Who never changes
even when we feel there is a knee on our necks
restricting our breathing
believing that Christ is close even when companies close down
so that we can echo Paul’s words
‘I know what it is to be in need,
and I know what it is to have plenty.
I have learned the secret of being content
regardless of my circumstances,
whether well fed or hungry,
whether living in plenty or in want.

I can do ALL things through Christ Who gives me strength.’

Our Saviour is our strength.
