Treasuring the Treasure in me
Controlling people
can overwhelm one
when they seem to be so set on being right.
They don't realise the carnage they create,
with their criticism and complaints,
whether intentional or unintentional.
I need to step out of the situation
to get a better perspective
and not allow them,
no matter who they are,
to steal my peace and happiness
just because they are unhappy
in themselves
doesn't mean I have to pay their high price.
Help me! please Lord
not to allow them to disarm me, or immobilize me
nor freeze my freedom
because then I have given them too much power
-power they don't deserve.
Help me to walk carefully
with this treasure You have entrusted to me.
You in me.

Thought about how when we as women are pregnant - we are careful what we do, what we eat and we actually take better care of ourselves at this time in our lives because we are protecting the life of our baby within us - moreso knowing I carry this treasure within me - I need to be careful with my life, my time etc.
For instance when I am pregnant I won’t lift heavy things to help a friend move - in the early stages of pregnancy people can’t see that you are pregnant they have to take your word for it and much the same as a Christian
Oh Lord may You be so visible in me that everyone I come in contact with will see that I am carrying this precious treasure of You!
