Good News in the Garden of Gethsemane

Jesus prayed for you in the garden of Gethsemane
as well as praying for His faithful followers
who were sound asleep…

He prayed for you
He prayed for me
He prayed for us
that we would be one with one another
and one with the Father…

Our perfect priest
whose priesthood is permanent
is forever interceding for us
for peace, patience
and strength
so that when the trumpet sounds
we will have persevered.

He could’ve but couldn’t
walk away from the crucifixion
because He knew it was the only way
for me
and you
to fulfill our destiny.

He did
and
I am forever grateful
that
He did.

Scriptures and References

John 17 vs 20,21
“Jesus Prays for You
20 “And I ask not only for these disciples,
but also for all those who will one day
believe in me through their message.
21 I pray for them all to be joined together as one
even as you and I, Father, are joined together as one.
I pray for them to become one with us
so that the world will recognize that you sent me.
22 For the very glory you have given to me I have given them
so that they will be joined together as one
and experience the same unity that we enjoy“

Hebrews 7 vs 24,25
“24 But because Jesus lives forever, his priesthood lasts forever. 25 Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede [and intervene] on their behalf with God.
26 He is the kind of high priest we need because he is holy and blameless, unstained by sin. He has been set apart from sinners and has been given the highest place of honor in heaven.“
