The Art of Shepherding
At times we can walk into a situation
armed to the teeth with information
but ‘our tired to the bone’ hearts hold
-no compassion
-no passion
just hard knowledge
and people don’t really care how much we know
until they know how much we care
as the old saying goes….
Love needs to lead us
envelop us
drive us.
God didn’t drive His people in the wilderness
He knew when to do what
He split the sea so that they could walk through to safety
and another time
He split the rock to give them a drink from underground springs!
No situation is the same...
We need to know when people need to be rescued
or when they need to be refreshed
and the only way to know
is to know Him.
To know His Voice.
His sheep hear His Voice
and as we listen to His instructions
we can feed His little lambs
and assist in shepherding His sheep
following in His footsteps.
