Honoring Holy Spirit

Our Advocate,
please forgive me for hardening my heart
while walking the well-worn path of disappointment…

Sapped of strength,
the enemy of my soul attempted to steal
the wide-eyed wonder of being expectant
with excitement for what lies ahead
replacing it with fear of the future…
Trying to dash my dreams
and snuff out my hope
but I arose from the ashes with anticipation
that You would help me
sing my song again
as You remind me
that my Heavenly Father rejoices over me with singing
and I believe
that I will be amazed and astounded
not only at the end of my days
but day to day as I learn to lean on You...
-I depend on You to defend me
and guide me
to above all
believe Father God’s goodness.

Father God sent His Son
and His Son sent You
as our Advocate.

You are our Upholder,
our Empowerer, Encourager, Enabler
Comforter, Cheerleader, Counselor
Protector, Promoter, Patron
precious Holy Spirit.
Thank You
for Your fruit You give
and the truth You teach.
Your wisdom waters our worlds…
