Abba,
my Father God
I’ve realised that the reality is that
I don’t want to control people
but I do oftentimes want to control their attitudes towards me
so I try harder
tending to try to control circumstances and situations
until I'm tired of trying
coming to the end of myself
and ask You to
please crush the control that comes from fear
in me
as I trust You to unfold Your personal and precise plans and purpose
for my future
because the reality You have revealed to me is
that I am and always was
Your daughter
first and foremost
before I became anyone else’s daughter,
granddaughter, niece, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

I am Yours
and You are
where I belong…
