Setting the Stage for Stepping into the Supernatural

We may not be running low on wine at a wedding
as recalled in the Word when Jesus performed His first miracle
in response to a request,
but so often we are running out of something else;
running out of energy or enthusiasm
running low on hope or health
searching for a ‘lost coin’
but whatever it is
we can come to Christ with a specific request
just like Mary, Jesus mother did…

Be open to a miracle
and then be a part of the miracle…
When we come to Him with our specific request
we need to come with an expectant heart
and explicit faith.

The prayer of faith says
‘Whatever You want Lord,
whichever way You choose to answer…
The prayer of faith is not a prayer
that Jesus will do exactly what we want
but the prayer of faith is a prayer that says,
Jesus, I trust You to do exactly what is right.

We get the impression that Mary, as His mother
was willing to honour Jesus
regardless of the manner in which
He responded to her request
and we need to remember to do the same.
To lead a life that honours Him
-Honoring Him with
our words
our worship
our relationships
our decisions
the way we live our lives
-pursuing a heart of reverence,
setting the stage for a miracle
as we come to Christ daily
with prayers and petitions in regard to a particular problem
that lays heavily on our heart
believing without hesitation that
He is a good God,
a kind Saviour
and He will do
the right thing, in the right way at the right time.

A miracle requires nothing more than an honest prayer
and a trusting heart.

Learning a lesson from Mary,
we trust that we will be drinking new wine
sooner than we realise
so whatever He tells you to do
do it
keeping your stone water pots filled with fresh water.
