South African Scars

A curtain of clouds conceals the sun
at the moment in this Beloved Country.

You ask how I know
that the sun will shine again
on the scars on South African soil?
It's because of the African soul
our Heavenly Father
deposited in its people...
He is our source of strength
and African dreams can still come true…
-deep wounds become barely visible scars…

One cannot always see the situation
behind the scenes…
the people praying and praising
-not to give a false sense of security
but reaching Heaven's Heart
and trusting in a loving Father
to perform a miracle
that only He can
so that carefree candyfloss clouds can come back
to lighten lives
living in deep despair.

He restores hope,
healing hurting hearts
wipes away years of fears and tears…

Christ's cross creating a bridge
for all colours and creeds to cross over
-not to confront but comfort
remembering that
no man has the final word
in any Country.

God's glory will shine
bringing more warmth than sunshine.
