Sweet Dreams ...

Jesus
You come to comfort me
as silent as a shadow in the deep of the night
bringing warmth to my world
as dreams dare to scare me with nightmares
clawing at Your shield shielding me
and my armour
that’s dented with dents
scarred with scrapes from the battles
I fight that no one is even aware of ...

Please protect me from the enemy who attempts to pounce on his prey
when I am asleep
or between sleep and awake
in the silence of the night screaming in my dreams!

You soothe my soul
with Your Spirit
and keep my thoughts in tact
enabling me to mind my mind
because I have Your mind of Christ Jesus.

Thank You that I can sleep in peace
even when my world feels like its falling to pieces.
