A Star is Born

Christmas came again
and we followed the star in the sky
which led us to the Star in the stable
laying in a manger
Love wrapped up in swaddling cloths
which would be swapped for linen cloths
at the end of His life on earth.
He carried a cross
but more than a cross He carried
an anointing and authority
that empowered Him to rise again!
I am blown away at our Saviour’s willing Heart
to be born as a baby
so that when disaster strikes our worlds
Our Star would guide us back to goodness.
The Almighty moves mighty mountains
flattening the mountain face
so that we can see His face as we face our futures
focusing on our freedom once again
we can see our destinations
as we walk on the level amongst nature
with everything reminding us Who made the miraculous masterpieces
in the form of flowers and trees
and an abundance of animals
-yes, He created creatures
with us in mind purely for our pleasure
because of His astounding love.
May we always focus on God's goodness and grace
and be grateful that
He sent His Star Son to shine His Light into a dark day.
