A Time of Contemplation…

Good Friday is a solemn day of introspection...

The cross confronting and challenging
-the blood from the brutal beatings stained Jesus’ skin
-inhumane humiliation
brought about by humans He had created as our Creator

The shadow of sorrow
hangs over us
as we remember
Jesus’ betrayal and death in the darkness on that day
until the day of resurrection
proclaims

He is Risen!

The significance of Sunday
as the sun rose
the Son rose!

As we ponder on His purity
and how stained we are from our sins and selfishness
compared to His selflessness...

A time of reflection as we look up to the centre cross
seeing His love reflected in His eyes
for us
such sinners
all we can say is
‘remember me when You come into Your Kingdom’
and He echoes
‘Remember Me’
as we break the bread and drink from His cup of suffering
as He fills our cups to overflowing
with the freedom of salvation.
