Inconceivable

The whole world appears to be filled to the brim
with hurt and heartache
as people lose their hold on hope
and feelings of
hopelessness
and
helplessness
wither weathered hearts…

A birthday balloon filled with bounce before
now laying limp on the floor
as fears for the future
squeeze the second last breath of air
from their bodies…
For others careless words burst balloons
that were once filled with hope;
broken bits now scattered across the carpet
reminders of what was
leaving life lifeless before all the life has
completely drained out of our years…
The party pooped
until we come to a place of realising that the celebrations
are not special occasions
when our Guest of Honour
honours us with His Presence
day to day, everyday
and enables, energizes and empowers us to reach out of our own worlds
into the worlds of others
who need encouragement
with the great gift of God
from John 3 vs 16
and as He breathes back life into our lives,
we realise the unbelievable!
-that we have become unbroken balloons.

This can only be accomplished in spirit
not in flesh
because being born again
does not mean to try again,
it means entering a Kingdom where God does the work;
not our performance
because our works won’t work
but based on the price Jesus paid
we can flourish in His Garden of Grace
as we navigate a path into a new Spirit led life
that generates a miracle
and breathes into our lifeless balloons
so we get our breath back!
