Words and Poetry By Brenda Botha, Inspired by God.
Surrounded by Love
I watch a butterfly dance to invisible music
on the pulse of a plant as it blows in the breeze…
The Circle of Seasons
I’m so grateful to God
that He seals the door of my soul as such
to keep it safe in the storm
The Art of Shepherding
At times we can walk into a situation
armed to the teeth with information
Shepherding me…
At night,
there’s this nagging noise in my head
gnawing at my peace
Seasons’ Songs …
‘Undenting’ our Identity
When we’re secure
in who Christ created us to be,
it becomes more difficult to get a dent in our identity
Secure
A strong spirit can steady a shaky soul
as Father God lassoes my thoughts
bringing them back to His promises
All-Encompassing Love
I never had really thought about this before listening to a song sung by the late Elvis Presley…
‘If that isn’t Love’
Shepherded
Getting back to basics
and bringing balance back into my life
I’m finding I’m being more balanced than before
Looking for funders
A book of poems that reminds us of our loving Father’s faithfulness.
We are working on a hardcover print and an online version to be released once we have sufficient funding. If you would like to support a project that gives hope and encouragement through poetry and inspiration from God, please get in touch.

About
Brenda has always loved ‘playing with words’, sees writing as a gift from God, and can trace her passion from as early as primary. Writing in both English and Afrikaans she explores the plethora of emotion afforded to each language with finesse and sometimes even grit.
She has self published her own book, Everyday Crosses, and has been published in magazines, blogs, various church news letters and more recently had one her poems turned into a song, a life long dream.
Her Facebook page has a collection of personal contemplations inspired from her faith in Jesus Christ, including short stories capturing her grandchildren’s formation and life lessons growing up.
